2007 Brookfield Election Results

Message from the Chair

Get involved.
Vote in the Democratic Primary on Tuesday, August 12.

Dear fellow Democrats:

We are facing an exciting but challenging time in the next three months. While the predictions are that it is "our year" we cannot sit back and assume that will happen without work, money and dedication to the party principles and those people who are running to keep those ideals and principals alive. See the Connecticut State Democratic Party Platform to understand further why we need to place Democrats in office.

First and foremost we must be sure we reelect Chris Murphy to a second term. He is addressing the issues that need attention: oil prices, the economy, medical care as well as being a very responsive person to individual town needs … he has been to Brookfield's aid in the Lake issues and addressing the concerns of the Iroquois proposals. His place in the House of Representatives is targeted as one the Republicans want back and I say they can't have it … they had to bring Bush into Kent to raise money for Capiello. There will be a debate this fall — we will keep you posted as to where and when. You can contact Chris Murphy at www.chrismurphy.house.gov for more information or to make a contribution.

Bethel has a candidate, David Stevenson, challenging David Scribner for the 107th district House of Representatives seat.

There is a Democratic Primary coming up on August 12 … it will be at CENTER SCHOOL ONLY (both Huckleberry and High School districts will be voting in the same place) open from 6AM to 8PM. This is a primary between the endorsed candidate for the 30th district State Senate seat, Michael Renzullo, and challenger Matthew Brennan.

A good turnout of Democrats is expected.

We are always looking for people who would like to serve on our Boards and Commissions, please contact us for information on available seats.
