Board of Selectmen consists of the First Selectman

Selectmen. They cannot all be from the same party. |

term with the First Selectman acting as an ex-officio
member who can vote only in case of a tie. |

terms and 1 for a 2-year term. By Statute, no
more than a simple majority (by political affiliation or party) can fill a position for
a specific
term. By this definition, a single party can fill just 2
