Incumbent

I am currently a member of the Board of Finance. My family and I moved to Brookfield 5 years ago and I quickly took an active roll in local government and have enjoyed the last fours years on the Board of Finance. I am currently seeking a second term. While on the Board of Finance, I've provided sound advice to fellow members, the town controllers and our First Selectman on accounting policies and procedures, worked to ensure our results represent the town’s expectations and fought for more money to be applied in the School budget every year. Every year we struggle with a proper balance of town needs while maintaining a reasonable tax base. Despite the difficult financial times, the board has worked very hard to ensure that our citizens are well represented.  I look forward to a new term where we can focus on a proper balance of needs vs. income, increase our Education budget allocation, develop a Capital improvement strategy and ensure we maintain a strong financial position for the Town of Brookfield.  

Professionally, I have been employed at KPMG LLP in NYC for the last 15 years. I am currently a Director responsible Finance Reporting & Accounting Policies. I hold a BS in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport and a MBA from the University of New Haven. While at the University of Bridgeport, I spent a semester studying in Italy at the University of Florence and University of Rome. I am member of the National Society of Accountants and a Notary Public for the State of CT. I bring 20 years of diverse experience in Accounting and Finance from consumer products, manufacturing, retail and accounting service environments.

I was born in Waterbury CT where I attended OLMC grade school and Holy Cross High School. I moved to NYC in 1994 to pursue my career. While in NY, I met my wife Margaret. We moved to Brookfield in 2004 to raise our family. We have three children, Lauren, Arianna and Nicholas. Lauren attends Huckleberry, Arianna attends Center School and Nicholas is in his first year at Country Kids.
