WHY I'M RUNNING

As a candidate for the Planning Commission in Brookfield, I will work toward the goal of making our town a vibrant residential community with a strong tax base, an excellent educational system, and affordable housing. There should be a good balance between positive commercial development and a sound residential community. If elected, I will make every effort to achieve these goals.

BACKGROUND

I retired from public high school teaching after thirty four years in Bethel, Connecticut, three years in Southbury, Connecticut, and one year in Randolph, Vermont. I am currently an adjunct instructor of American Government at Western Connecticut State University. My wife, Lauren, is the music teacher at Prince of Peace Nursery School in Brookfield. I have two grown children; Mrs. Jane King, who is a special ed  teacher in New York City and Mr. Jeffrey Matte who is an English teacher in Xiamen, China.
