Richard Amorossi
Zoning Commission

Ric Amorossi has been a resident of Brookfield for over thirty four years. He is well known for his many years of volunteer service to the town, having served on many elected and appointed boards and commissions including the Board of Selectmen, the Economic Development Commission, the Building Code Board of Appeals, the Library Board of Trustees, the Water Pollution Control Authority, the Zoning Commission, and the Village District Land Use & Fire Regulations Ad Hoc Committee. He also served as a Zoning Citation Hearing Officer. Additionally, Ric has been appointed to 2 successful Charter Revision Committees, the Water Source Advisory Committee, the High School Space Study Committee, and the Open Space Study Committee. He is also a Life Member of the Sierra Club. His professional experience includes being an executive with three major corporations with operational facilities located in Brookfield. Ric is a graduate of New York University with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Ric wants to reestablish Brookfield’s position as a location of choice for both homeowners and businesses. He knows from experience that we have tremendous talents in town, and that the people who volunteer to work on boards, commissions and committees provide expertise for the benefit of all. He believes we should look to capitalize on the generosity of our citizens and tap into the pool of expertise they offer.
